Rob Lewandowski from Tasmania has two goals, 1. to set a record for the Guiness Books of Records by bike riding around Australia in 34 days; 2. raise funds for Rotary's "End Polio Now" campaign.

All eager bike riders are more than welcome to join him while on the road (at a rate of about 30kph), and others can donate money when he passes through.

Rob will be beginning this mammoth journey from 6am at Federation Square in Melbourne on Sunday 1 March.

He is expecting to head from Ulladulla into Newcastle on Tuesday 3 March and then resume his adventure on Wednesday, where he will be travelling onto Coffs Harbour.

To make it into Newcastle, he expects to travel into Belmont South, up through Dudley, Redhead, Adamstown Heights, Adamstown, across to The Junction, through Cooks Hill and then finally into the city.
