PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL NOT BE A GSE TEAM FOR THE 2017-2018 YEAR.

APPLICATION FEE
A non -refundable application fee of $75 is payable prior to the interview for all applications and can be made by bank transfer:

Team leader application fees are payable by the applicant.  
 
Team member application fees are payable by the sponsoring club. 
 
 
APPLY TO BE THE TEAM LEADER
GSE team leaders are experienced Rotarians from within the district, selected to support, guide and mentor both the outbound team, as well as the exchange district.  Selection is made giving consideration for the individuals contribution to Rotary (at various levels), their suitability to lead the team, and their ability to undertake this rigorous program. Selection is undertaken by a panel, and is merit based.
 
Rotary Clubs sponsoring applicants for team leader are required to endorse the application.
 
TEAM LEADER ELIGIBILITY
  • Be a Rotarian in District 9670
  • Demonstrated experience and contribution as a Rotarian
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Be physically and psychologically able to handle a vigorous program
  • Applicants cannot be the current District Governor , Governor Elect or Immediate Past District Governor when the team departs
  • Having some proficiency in the language of the host District is desirable
Team Leader applicants are required to submit the following
  1. Completed Team Leader Application  Download here
  2. Signed ‘Team Leader & Team Member Commitment’ Download here
  3. Current CV – Particularly identifying leadership experience
  4. A copy of your current passport photo page
  5. Payment of the $75 application fee – direct deposit.

APPLY TO BE A TEAM MEMBER
Rotary Clubs are encouraged to identify suitable people within the community to apply for the positions of team member for Group Study Exchange.  Individuals can also apply directly and will be matched Rotary Club prior to selection.
 
TEAM MEMBER ELIGIBILITY
  • Be between the ages of 25 and 45 (at time of exchange)
  • Have been in their vocation for a minimum of 2 years, and;
  • May be descendant or relative of a Rotarian.

  3. An essay/ letter of intent - A unique feature of the GSE program is to provide outstanding business and professional people opportunities for studying their profession in another country. Please tell us what you hope to gain professionally by participation in the program and how you intend to use this experience to enhance your long-term career path.
  4. A current CV - Please ensure this includes your vocational and educational background, as well as any awards received, published documents, additional skills relevant to your application.
  5. A copy of your passport photo page
 
The sponsoring Rotary Club will submit the above, plus.
  • Complete the Rotary Club Endorsement section of the Team Member Application form
  • Payment of the $75 application fee by direct deposit.

Persons wishing to apply that have not had contact with a Rotary Club, can submit via email their application and documents, however application is not formally received until a sponsor Club has been identified and confirmed.
